Shutter Material & Finished
Pretreatment – If aluminum is not properly pretreated, the paint will not adhere no matter how high the quality of paint. Pretreatment provides for cleaning, degreasing, etching, deoxidizing, desmutting, rinsing, and application of a prepaint bonding agent to assure proper adhesion of paint.
Painting – Painting is applied with hand help E.S.P. (Electrostatic spray painting) spray applicators. This helps to assure complete coverage. The highest quality, environmentally compliant, polyester powder coating is used. Virtually any color is available.
Baking – All standard paints that are used are baked to a minimum of 350 degrees Fahrenheit for at least ten minutes. The oven is capable of baking to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. Thermosetting paints provide for a long lasting, more scratch resistant, harder finish.
